I am the director and founder of JM Kennedy pole fitness dance studio. My passion is Cabaret, Jazz, Salsa and pole dancing. I have just completed studying radio and television production at New England Tech. I was born in Derby England with a Caribbean background. Moved to the United States in 1976, always had a passion for dance and the arts. Teaching dance for over 30 years, owned a cabaret troop and performed on cruise ships when docked in St. Thomas Virgin Islands. Hoping to one day own my own Cabaret lounge.
Alaina has been dancing since the age of three and competing since the age of twelve. She studied Ballet,Jazz and Lyrical but always had a passion for Cabaret Style Jazz. She started taking Pole Fitness at JM Kennedy in 2008 and is now our Chair Dance Instructor as well as a performer with JM Kennedy Dancers.
“I want women to be liberated and still be able to have a nice ass and shake it”
~Shirley MacLaine
Alaina is also one of Jennifer Kennedy’s Candy Girls.
Rhaya has been dancing since the age of four and started belly dancing seven years ago after she decided that the traditional dance arts were not enough. She has been trained in ATS (American tribal style), Greek, Lebanese, Egyptian, and Turkish belly dance styles that she fuses together with her background in jazz and ballet. She is also trained in theatrical stage combat. She has performed everywhere from weddings to birthday parties to dinner theaters and has a stage show at King Richard’s Renaissance Faire. Rhaya mystifies audiences with a sword balancing act and her spinning abilities with veils and 6 foot gold wings. “Those who dance are thought mad by those who hear not the music.”

“Let the music guide the movement”
My name is Joyce. I was born in New York City of Puerto Rican/Cuban decent. Lived in Puerto Rico. I’ve been dancing all my life. A few months ago I went to The JMKennedy Dance Studio and took one of Jennifer’s Zumba classes. This motivated me to get certified as a Zumba Instructor so I could start teaching. And now I’m a member of the JMK Entertainment Family.
Kristin began practicing gymnastics at age 6, and has a dance and musical background. She began her pole fitness career with JMK Entertainment in 2008 as a student, and has been teaching for the past year. In 2009, she became a certified Tai Chi instructor by the AAAI/ISMA.
"The art of Pole Fitness is truly enlightening. You get an intense, fun, and empowering work out, while fostering your self confidence and inner beauty, and you look hot while doing it! Come on down and get your Pole on" ~ Kristin
"The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence" ~ Confucious
Nadia has been with the JMK studio since 2007. She has studied classical ballet, jazz, and performance dance training with Festival Ballet of RI and Carolyn Dutra Dance studio throughout her lifetime. She likes to apply her former dance skills with pole fitness exercises. Nadia has also completed pole fitness classes and workshops with Pulse Alternative Dance and Pole Fitness of South Florida. She has learned LA and South Florida pole fitness styles and strength training and is proud to be able to bring it to RI! Nadia feels that pole fitness is all about working on yourself, both inside and out and having fun doing it in the process. "I hope you enjoy my Level 1 and 2 classes!"
Kerri started out at JM Kennedy Dance Studio as a student in 2007. She started assisting Jennifer in 2008 and then became a Pole Dancing Instructor in 2009. Her experience is with helping beginners become confident in basic pole moves.
She is the proud mom of a seven-month old baby boy. Kerri's motto .... "Pole...does a body good!"
